For many new parents, the trip out for their newborn photography session is the first time they have left the house, and can be quite scary – trying to be somewhere for a specific time, with a brand new baby in tow! I completely understand, and once you are booked in with me, I aim to send you as much information and guidance before your session, to make this seem not as daunting when the day arrives. Here’s a quick checklist to help you prepare as much as possible for a smooth running and relaxing photographic experience at this special time.
All of the above is simply guidance to help new parents prepare. Please do not think you are setting yourself up for failure if you do not follow every single point on the list – every baby is completely different and only you will know your baby best! If they are screaming blue murder for milk at home, please feed them; we can stop for top ups throughout the session as and when is required.
I advise that all newborn sessions are booked as early as possible; once you have had your 20 week scan is ideal due to very limited availability. If you would like more information on the options available for newborn photography sessions, please contact me and I’d love to have a chat!
