Dinky Little Dot Photography - The Studio
The Dinky Little Dot Photography Studio opened in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire in November 2019. Prior to this I was a mobile photographer and travelled to client’s homes to carry out my sessions. A studio is something I had dreamed of since the start (2012) so when this little gem appeared on Rightmove at the right time, I couldn’t have been more excited! The spare room, and most of the storage space in our dining room was very quickly getting over run with various props, backdrops and wraps, so to have a permanent home for the business was ideal.
I had so many visions of how I wanted the studio to look and feel – cosy, boutique, comfortable, relaxing. The reaction from clients when they enter the studio leads me to believe that I have achieved just that and I look forward to welcoming many more new little clients and their families very soon!
The Shooting Space
There are two floors to the studio, the memory making happens downstairs. There are two comfy wingback chairs for parents to sit back and relax in – some even catch up on some well deserved sleep! I have all of my props, backdrops and wraps out on display, so if there is a particular prop you would like me to use, just let me know!

Individually wrapped biscuits and unlimited coffee, tea and water are available for all clients when you visit the Dinky Little Dot studio. For all parents, whether they have a brand new baby and are feeling sleep deprived, or have an energetic toddler on their hands, a hot drink and energy boosting snack is always welcome! There is also a toilet for client comfort as well.
The Viewing Room
After your photography session has taken place, you will be invited back to the studio within 1-2 weeks to view your gallery of beautiful images created at your session. The viewing room is equally as cosy and comfortable as the shooting area of the studio. Fully equipped with a large screen on which we will show your images, a sofa for comfort and samples of the different varieties of wall art that is available for you to choose from.

The Location
The Dinky Little Dot Photography studio is located in St Ives town centre, near to the river. (If you’re bringing siblings to your newborn session, we are close enough to the river for one parent to take them off to feed the ducks, if they start to get restless during their baby brother/sister’s photo session.)
The studio is not visible from the main road, it is on Bull Lane – accessible from the High Street, Bridge Street and the Quay. It’s a two minute walk from any of the town’s car parks or just over the bridge from The Dolphin Hotel. There is room inside the studio to bring your pram indoors for storage.
The studio is my little haven, and hopefully this has given you a little taste of what to expect when you visit me for your next photography session!
