Every newborn photoshoot is carefully tailored to you and your family. With an extensive selection of colour palettes, I create artistic yet timeless portraits that beautifully complement your baby’s unique skin tones and your home’s style.
Before your session, we’ll collaborate during a complimentary consultation to plan every detail. This ensures you feel fully prepared and confident, knowing your images will surpass expectations and become cherished pieces of art for your home.
Older siblings? No problem! My newborn sessions celebrate your whole family; so sibling, parent & family photos are included as standard at no additional cost. Well behaved pets are also very welcome to attend your photoshoot.
When is best to book?
The ideal time to capture those precious newborn moments is when your baby is between 4 and 21 days old. Babies older than this can still be photographed beautifully, but may not have the same “curly” poses as true newborns. If your little one is already past this stage, don’t worry! We can still create stunning and heartfelt portraits—just get in touch to check availability and explore your options.
Most parents book their newborn photography experience around the time of their 20-week scan. Since babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule, I only accept 10 newborn bookings per month to ensure flexibility for every family. This means it’s best to secure your session as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
When you book, I’ll reserve a tentative slot in my diary for 7-10 days after your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll confirm the exact session date to suit you and your newborn. If your baby is already here, there’s still a chance I can accommodate you—especially if another baby has arrived early or a little later than expected—so don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Pricing
You will be invited back to my studio one to two weeks after your session to view your final gallery of approximately 20 beautifully enhanced and fully edited images. It’s at this point when you may decide which package you may want to purchase.
At Dinky Little Dot, the newborn photoshoot itself is free to attend — there’s no session fee to come along, relax, and have beautiful images taken of your baby in my cosy St Ives studio. You’re under no obligation to purchase a single image if you don’t wish to.
To secure your booking, a £50 non-refundable retainer is required. This isn’t a charge for the session — it simply holds your spot in my diary and will be deducted from any order you choose to make. If you decide not to purchase any images at all (which is absolutely fine), you won’t owe anything further — but your retainer won’t be refunded, as that time has been reserved just for you.
Should you fall in love with your images (and most families do), you’re welcome to choose from my carefully curated packages. If you’d prefer to order just a few images or prints rather than a full package, there is a minimum order fee of £549 for à la carte purchases. This covers the time and care involved in preparing, processing, and delivering your final images, prints, and digital files.
My aim is always to keep the process relaxed, enjoyable and totally pressure-free — so you can simply focus on making memories with your little one.

All of the images are printed onto the best quality paper. In addition to the prints you receive within your chosen package, you can order additional prints of your favourite photos. I offer professional grade prints as standard.
Your digital images are presented in high resolution on a USB drive. The digital file collections all include printing rights.
I understand that having the flexibility of buying the digital files allows you to produce prints, enlargements and albums. However, I firmly believe that the beautiful images we are going to create deserve to be displayed using only the best quality products.
