The signature newborn photography session is for new parents who want to pause time. To soak up the scrunch of tiny toes, the button nose, the flaky fingers wrapped around yours — and to capture it all before it fades into the blur of newborn life.
With over a decade of experience, I’ve gently photographed hundreds of babies just like yours – always with a calm, baby-led approach that puts safety and comfort first. I’m an award-winning newborn photographer, fully trained in infant safety, first aid certified, DBS checked, and (just as importantly) a mum of two myself.
Inside my peaceful and calming studio, everything slows down. There’s no pressure, no rush — just a quiet space where you can take a breath, enjoy a warm drink, and let me guide your baby into beautifully natural, relaxed poses that become treasured memories for years to come.
A Calm, Nurturing Space for You and Your Baby
From the moment you arrive, everything is designed to help you exhale.
You’ll step into a softly scented studio filled with calm, warm light and the gentle sound of background music. It’s quiet, serene, and intentionally styled to feel like a little retreat — somewhere you can pause, breathe, and simply be.
Settle in with something from my extensive drinks menu — choose from a range of herbal teas, rich coffees (with decaf options), cold drinks, natural energy boosters, or even a glass of Nozecco if you’re in the mood for a celebratory treat. And yes, there are always biscuits on hand — because those little comforts really do matter when you’re running on baby time.
Before the shoot begins, you’ll have the chance to select your favourite colour palette from a carefully curated range of collections. These beautifully styled tones guide the session — from wraps and blankets to accessories and props — ensuring a cohesive, timeless look that reflects your personal taste.
The studio is filled with soft, natural textures and high-quality props chosen for both their aesthetic and safety. There’s also a fully stocked changing station with eco-conscious nappies, water wipes, and gentle B-Corp certified nappy cream — so even if you forget something, I’ve got you covered.
Sessions are completely baby-led. If your little one needs to feed, be cuddled, or just take a break, we pause. There’s never any pressure or rush — I only book one newborn session a day, giving you all the time and attention you deserve.

A Gentle Journey From Bump to Beautiful Wall Art
I know it can feel like a lot to think about photos in those early days — that’s why I’ve designed every part of this process to feel simple, personal, and completely stress-free. Here’s how it works:
Before the shoot; your pre-session consultation
Once your session is confirmed, we’ll book in a relaxed pre-session consultation. This is such a valuable part of the experience — a chance for us to meet, chat, and plan your shoot in detail. We’ll talk about:
- Your personal style and what you’re drawn to
- Likes and dislikes when it comes to newborn photography
- Who will be included in the shoot (siblings, parents, etc.)
- Your favourite colour palette from my curated collections
- The types of wall art and keepsakes that would suit your home
- It’s also your space to ask anything you’re unsure about — nothing is too small. You’ll leave feeling fully prepared, excited, and looked after.
On the Day – A Calm, Confidence-Boosting Session
When you arrive, the studio will be warm, softly lit, and completely ready for you — drinks, biscuits, nappies, wipes and all. You won’t need to bring a thing other than yourselves and your baby. The shoot flows at your baby’s pace and typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. You can expect:
- Naturally styled newborn portraits
- Gorgeous close-up details (think flaky fingers and tiny toes)
- Family and parent shots — always encouraged
- If you’re feeling unsure about being in front of the camera, don’t worry — I’ll gently guide you into flattering, natural poses you’ll love looking back on. These images are all about connection, not perfection.
- Before you leave, we’ll schedule your gallery viewing appointment, so you know exactly when you’ll be back to see your beautiful photos and choose your favourites.
After the Shoot – The Viewing & Ordering Appointment
Around 1–2 weeks later, you’ll return to the studio for your private gallery reveal.
You’ll be welcomed into my dedicated viewing room — a peaceful, comfortable space where you can sit back and enjoy your slideshow, with guidance every step of the way.
I’ll help you:
- Choose the images you love most
- Explore your artwork and album options
- Visualise how your favourites will look on your walls
- Take advantage of 0% interest payment plans, if you wish
- There’s no pressure to buy anything you don’t truly love — just friendly, expert support to help you create keepsakes that bring joy for years to come.

With years of experience photographing hundreds of babies and families, your little ones are always in safe hands. I’ll guide you through every step from your first enquiry to choosing your final images, so you can simply enjoy the experience and treasure your photographs for years to come.

Session Fee and Product Pricing
There are two steps to paying for your photographs.
Step One: Secure Your Session
To book your photoshoot with me, you pay a session fee. This secures your time in my diary and includes a pre-session consultation, personalised preparation guides, all planning and communication in the lead-up to your session, and your time in the studio on the day itself. This fee covers everything needed to get ready for your session, but does not include any digital images or printed products.
Step Two: Choose Your Photographs
Around 1–2 weeks after your session, you’ll return to the studio for a relaxed, in-person viewing appointment. This is when you’ll see your fully edited images and decide how you’d like to enjoy them. You’ll have the freedom to choose from the à la carte menu or select one of three specially designed collections, which combine the most popular options and offer excellent value. There’s no need to commit to a package before your session; you’ll only decide once you’ve seen your photographs and know what feels right for your family.
0% interest payment plans are available on orders over £400, should you wish to spread the cost.
Session Fee
The session fee for a newborn photoshoot is £99.
This fee is payable upon booking your session and includes:
- Preparation emails (and telephone calls if required) with me to help you prepare and feel relaxed for your session.
- Your two to three hour newborn session in my studio, including time for sibling and family portraits.
- Professional editing and retouching of your photographs.
- Your in-person private gallery reveal in my studio where you’ll see your beautiful photographs and place your order.
The session fee doesn’t include any digital images, prints or products; these are purchased afterwards when you view your photographs. You do not need to commit to a package or any products until you have seen your gallery.
Professional hair and make up styling can also be arranged, with prices starting from £80.
Digital and Print Products
When you view your photographs, you’ll have the option to purchase high-resolution digital images to print and share as you wish, or select from a beautiful range of carefully curated, museum-quality printed products and albums that create timeless pieces designed to become cherished family heirlooms.
I also offer three exclusive studio collections, each combining digital images with our most popular products, offering excellent value and significant savings.

Frequently Asked Questions
The ideal time to photograph newborns is between 5–14 days old, while they’re still sleepy and curled up. I recommend booking after your 20-week scan to ensure availability. If baby has already arrived — get in touch! I’ll always try to fit you in.
Please don’t worry — babies cry, feed, wriggle and poo. That’s all totally normal here! Sessions are baby-led and flexible, with plenty of time for cuddles, changes and breaks. I’ll gently guide the session to work around your baby’s needs.
Typically, Signature newborn sessions can last anywhere between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on how relaxed and settled your baby is. Please don’t worry, this is just a guide and I will always work at your baby’s pace.
Absolutely – and I actively encourage it! These first family portraits are incredibly special. I’ll guide you all into natural, flattering poses you’ll love to look back on.
I provide a full prep guide, but as a general rule, soft neutral tones work beautifully and keep the focus on your baby. For parents and siblings, avoid bold logos or clashing patterns. I’m happy to advise during your pre-session consultation.
Just yourselves and your baby. The studio is fully equipped with nappies, water wipes, eco nappy cream, refreshments, and cosy blankets. I’ve got everything covered — including a carefully selected collection of props and wraps.
No problem. When you book, I reserve a flexible window around your due date. Once baby arrives, just let me know and we’ll confirm a suitable time based on their actual birth date.
Not at all. You’ll never be pushed to purchase anything you don’t love. During your gallery viewing I’ll guide you through the options and answer any questions – but the final decision is always yours.
