This is such a special stage, as your baby’s cheeky character begins to shine! I absolutely adore photographing these moments and getting to know your little one; discovering the silly sounds and funny faces that spark their most contagious belly laughs. Those giggles, filled with pure joy, are what make these sessions truly magical. As always, family and sibling photographs are encouraged in your baby’s sitter milestone photo shoot too.

From the moment you arrive, everything is designed to help you slow down and enjoy this playful stage of your baby’s journey.
You’ll step into a calm, welcoming studio space filled with soft light and gentle background music. It’s styled to feel like a peaceful little retreat, a space where you can relax, enjoy the moment, and watch your baby’s personality unfold.
Make yourself at home with something from the drinks menu; choose from herbal teas, rich coffees (including decaf), chilled drinks, natural energy boosters, or even a glass of Nozecco to toast just how far you’ve come. And of course, there are always biscuits on hand, because those small comforts still make a big difference, especially when you’re chasing nap schedules and snack times.
Before your photoshoot, you’ll have the opportunity to select your preferred colour palette from a beautifully curated range of soft, timeless tones. If you had a newborn session with me, we can echo those same colours to create a beautifully consistent look across your baby’s first-year photographs — or choose something new to reflect how much they’ve grown. The palette you choose will guide the styling of your session, from carefully selected outfits and textured blankets to simple props, ensuring everything feels cohesive and personal to you.
The studio is thoughtfully designed with both comfort and safety in mind, filled with natural textures and high-quality props suited to this curious, wobbly stage. There’s also a fully stocked changing station with eco-conscious nappies, water wipes, and gentle B-Corp certified skincare; so even if something gets left at home, I’ve got you covered.
Each session is completely baby-led. We go at your little one’s pace, with time for cuddles, snack breaks, and a few giggles along the way. I only ever book one session at a time, so there’s no pressure or rush, just space to relax, enjoy, and celebrate this joyful stage. Whether you’d love to be in the portraits or prefer to watch the magic unfold from the sofa, this time is yours.

I know that planning a photoshoot during these early months can feel like just another thing on your already-full list; which is exactly why I’ve designed every part of the experience to be simple, personal, and completely stress-free. From start to finish, I’ll guide you through everything. Here’s how it works:
Before the shoot; your pre-session consultation
Once your session is confirmed, we’ll book in a relaxed pre-session consultation. This is such a valuable part of the experience — a chance for us to meet, chat, and plan your shoot in detail. We’ll talk about:
- Your personal style and what you’re drawn to
- Likes and dislikes when it comes to milestone photography
- Who will be included in the shoot (siblings, parents, etc.)
- Your favourite colour palette or themed backdrop from my curated collections
- The types of wall art and keepsakes that would suit your home
- It’s also your space to ask anything you’re unsure about — nothing is too small. You’ll leave feeling fully prepared, excited, and looked after.
On the Day – A Calm, Confidence-Boosting Session
When you arrive, the studio will be warm, softly lit, and completely ready for you — drinks, biscuits, nappies, wipes and all. You really don’t need to bring a thing other than yourselves and your little one. Sitter sessions are relaxed and playful, always led by your baby’s mood and energy. Most sessions last around an hour, giving us plenty of time to capture:
- Naturally styled portraits that highlight your baby’s emerging personality
- Beautiful close-up details – chubby fingers, gummy smiles, and all those sweet in-between moments
- Family and parent images – always encouraged, never forced
If you’re feeling unsure about being in front of the camera, don’t worry, I’ll gently guide you into natural, flattering poses that focus on the love and connection between you. It’s never about perfection, just capturing the joy of this fleeting, wonderful stage.
Before you leave, we’ll book your gallery viewing appointment, so you’ll know exactly when you’ll be back to see your finished images and choose your favourites.

Around 1–2 weeks later, you’ll return to the studio for your private gallery reveal.
You’ll be welcomed into my dedicated viewing room — a peaceful, comfortable space where you can sit back and enjoy your slideshow, with guidance every step of the way.
I’ll help you:

- Visualise how your favourites will look on your walls
- Take advantage of 0% interest payment plans, if you wish

At Dinky Little Dot Photography, I keep everything calm, relaxed, and easy from start to finish. With years of experience photographing hundreds of little ones, your baby is always in safe hands. I’ll gently guide you through each step – from your first enquiry to selecting your final images – so you can simply enjoy the experience and come away with photographs you’ll treasure forever.

Session Fee and Product Pricing
There are two steps to paying for your photographs.
Step One: Secure Your Session
To book your photoshoot with me, you pay a session fee. This secures your time in my diary and includes a pre-session consultation, personalised preparation guides, all planning and communication in the lead-up to your session, and your time in the studio on the day itself. This fee covers everything needed to get ready for your session, but does not include any digital images or printed products.
Step Two: Choose Your Photographs
Around 1–2 weeks after your session, you’ll return to the studio for a relaxed, in-person viewing appointment. This is when you’ll see your fully edited images and decide how you’d like to enjoy them. You’ll have the freedom to choose from the à la carte menu or select one of three specially designed collections, which combine the most popular options and offer excellent value. There’s no need to commit to a package before your session; you’ll only decide once you’ve seen your photographs and know what feels right for your family.
0% interest payment plans are available on orders over £400, should you wish to spread the cost.
Session Fee
The session fee for a sitter photoshoot is £99.
This fee is payable upon booking your session and includes:
- Preparation emails (and telephone calls if required) with me to help you prepare and feel relaxed for your session.
- Your one-two hour sitter session in my studio, including time for sibling and family portraits.
- Professional editing and retouching of your photographs.
- Your in-person private gallery reveal in my studio where you’ll see your beautiful photographs and place your order.
The session fee doesn’t include any digital images, prints or products; these are purchased afterwards when you view your photographs. You do not need to commit to a package or any products until you have seen your gallery.
Professional hair and make up styling can also be arranged, with prices starting from £80.
Digital and Print Products
When you view your photographs, you’ll have the option to purchase high-resolution digital images to print and share as you wish, or select from a beautiful range of carefully curated, museum-quality printed products and albums that create timeless pieces designed to become cherished family heirlooms.
I also offer three exclusive studio collections, each combining digital images with our most popular products, offering excellent value and significant savings.

No need! I have a curated wardrobe of soft, neutral outfits in the studio, along with simple, timeless props and blankets. Everything is styled to keep the focus on your baby and create a beautiful, cohesive gallery.
Sitter sessions typically last around 45 minutes to an hour; long enough to capture a variety of expressions and setups, but short enough to keep your baby happy and engaged.
Absolutely – and I actively encourage it! These first family portraits are incredibly special. I’ll guide you all into natural, flattering poses you’ll love to look back on.
That’s completely normal, and nothing to worry about. Sessions are baby-led, with plenty of time for cuddles, breaks, and snack stops. I only book one session at a time, so we’ll never feel rushed.
Just the essentials for your baby — a snack, drink, and any comfort item they love. I have everything else in the studio, including nappies, wipes, skincare and a fully stocked changing station.
