The Experience
At Dinky Little Dot Photography, our Christmas Mini Sessions aren’t just photos, they’re a festive experience for the whole family.
Step into a warm and cosy studio filled with gentle Christmas music, twinkling lights, and a beautifully styled festive backdrop. Children can perch on vintage chairs and stools, rock gently on our brand-new wooden rocking horse, or snuggle together for those heartfelt moments you’ll want to remember forever.
Your 30-minute session is relaxed and fun, giving us plenty of time to capture genuine smiles, giggles, and the magic of the season. Whether you want images for Christmas cards, to start a yearly festive photo tradition, or to create a framed print you’ll display every December, these sessions are designed to give you beautiful keepsakes you’ll treasure for years.

Location & Parking
Dinky Little Dot Photography Studio
St Ives, Cambridgeshire — just a short drive from Cambridge, Huntingdon, St. Neots & surrounding villages.
The closest parking is at Waitrose or the Dolphin Hotel, both just a few minutes’ walk away. We have space inside the studio to safely store prams.
Frequently Asked Questions
No problem! I work with children every day and know how to gently encourage them. Sessions are relaxed with no pressure — sometimes the sweetest images are the candid ones.
Yes! Families are welcome in the set, but please note that little ones must be able to sit unaided unless being held by a sibling or parent. Well behaved pets are also welcome.
I recommend arriving a few minutes early to settle in. Sessions are tightly scheduled, so late arrivals may have less shooting time.
These sessions focus on timeless festive portraits with a cosy, elegant style — Santa won’t be present, so the focus is entirely on your family.
The Santa Experience weekend is 15th & 16th November and booking can be accessed via the main Mini Sessions page.
You’ll have an online viewing appointment the following week to see your gallery, choose your included 3 images, and purchase any extras you love (starting from £25).
