As the world is so fast paced and forever changing, I like to make sure I’m keeping up and keeping in touch with my clients – past, present and future! Part of my service which I really love and spend a lot of time on is ensuring I treat my clients well, sending cards and little gifts in the post when they are least expected – and to do that, I need to know what’s on trend and what’s loved by Mamas.
But first, I’ll keep my part of the bargain and give you a brief introduction about me first!
I’m Laura, owner of Dinky Little Dot Photography, and first time Mama to 10 month old Margot Rose. I started photography back in college, and semi set up business in 2012, taking on event photography, family portraits and some small scale weddings alongside my full time graphic design job. Yes, full on creative over here! As the years passed, I had a desire to work with children, which had been with me for a long time, but the design path didn’t take me down that path. In 2016 I decided to invest in newborn photography training, and since then I have worked my way up (and down, and with bumps in the road along the way) to create Dinky Little Dot Photography – a business that specialises in capturing newborn babies as their smallest, but creating the biggest memories. The 1st year of your baby’s life is incredibly special, and there’s nothing better than capturing it and documenting it in photographs.
I’m also a coffee drinker, slimming world member, and have shopaholic tendancies, particularly when it comes to baby girl clothing!!!
As I mentioned in the intro, I pride myself on the service I offer my clients. I don’t do ‘photoshoots’. I offer all of my clients a photographic experience from first point of enquiry through to order collection. This involves being in my inbox most of the day, being on hand to answer outfit questions, offering advice on white noise apps and how best to prepare for your photography session. But even before the big photography day, I love to send out little welcome packs and cards, a checklist for your hospital bag – it’s the little things that make a big difference…but only if I do it right!
So I’d love to know what YOU love…where do you find your favourite products? Where do you go to for advice and to meet other new Mamas? Being a new Mama myself, I know how important all of this is, so I want to make sure I’m keeping up and keeping in touch with you too – whether you’re a past client, current client or a potential future client.
If you could spend a few minutes answering the questions below I’d be most grateful.
Thank you
Laura x
